Privacy notice
Last updated: 27 February 2026
This privacy notice explains how Tradecard Ltd (“TradeCard”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses your personal data when you join the founding member waitlist at gettradecard.com.
Data controller
Tradecard Ltd is the data controller responsible for your personal data. You can contact us at privacy@gettradecard.com.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist we collect:
- Your email address
- Your trade (if you choose to provide it)
- Your unique referral code and any referral relationships
- The page you signed up from (e.g. homepage or a trade-specific page)
- Your waitlist position
How we use it
We use your data to:
- Manage the waitlist and your position on it
- Send you essential communications about the TradeCard launch
- Track referrals so your waitlist position reflects the people you’ve referred
- Understand which trades are most interested so we can prioritise relevant offers
We will not send you marketing emails unrelated to the TradeCard launch unless you explicitly opt in at a later date.
Legal basis
We process your data on the basis of legitimate interest (managing the waitlist you asked to join) and, where applicable, your consent (for analytics cookies, if accepted).
Analytics
We use PostHog (EU-hosted) for anonymous, aggregated analytics to understand how visitors interact with the site. PostHog is configured to respect your browser’s Do Not Track setting. We use Vercel Analytics for basic page-view metrics. Neither service identifies you personally unless you have joined the waitlist.
Processors & hosting
Your data is processed by the following third-party services acting on our behalf:
- Supabase — database hosting (EU region)
- Vercel — website hosting and edge functions
- PostHog — product analytics (EU instance)
All processors are bound by data processing agreements and operate within GDPR-compliant frameworks.
Data retention
We retain waitlist data until the public launch is complete plus a reasonable period (up to 12 months) to manage onboarding. After that, data is deleted unless you’ve converted to a paid membership, in which case the membership privacy policy applies.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access a copy of your personal data
- Rectify inaccurate data
- Request erasure (“right to be forgotten”)
- Restrict or object to processing
- Data portability
- Withdraw consent at any time (where consent is the legal basis)
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@gettradecard.com and we’ll respond within 30 days.
Complaints
If you believe your data has been handled improperly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
